Pilates

Originally the Pilates Method was based on the mat work repertoire of 34 exercises.

Joseph Pilates created the mat work to require mental control and physical disipline.

There is a great benefit in using movement in a conscious, focused and willful manner to link the neuromuscular pathways between the body and the brain rather than moving reflexively.

The mat routine needs to be performed with zest and the exercises are designed to be done one right after the other with clear transitions, continuity, precision and grace.

The exercises repeated only 5-10 times with total mental control, emphasizing quality over quantity.

It will lead improved posture, core strenght, stamina, graceful movement, circulation and physical fitness through muscular squeezing.
